things rhyme while I'm trying
to study and i get distracted
several hours writing bullshit
neither competent nor prolific
i think
just poor work habit and lack
of discipline don't think of or
stick with any projects per se
but randomly inspire a couplet
or two and quickly either write
or forget it
when writing the struggle to
retain momentum and sense and
tone in that initial line most
always supposed to be read out
loud because that's what words
are what poetry is language is
and harder
for we are never really ever
taught to read aloud or orate
to savor vowels and bite words
into shape
