I was told I ought to keep a journal during my year in Korea. A good idea, though, judging from past attempts, I am not sure how likely I am to succeed. Anyway, this is the first entry, and I'll try to have a productive attitude and dispel all my doubts about ability to keep journal.
Guess what? I'm in Korea.
I have been here for two weeks. At this point it is a little late to get caught up on all the details of the journey since my arrival, but I can at least write down some brief notes.
I arrived July 27. Details about the flight and many early impressions are given in my many letters (so far I have written, in order of detail, to [redacted] and my parents). So rather than go into it here, I'll just refer to those letters. Okay, more later...
