and damnit: think this is the third year running i realize too late i've reused a song from prior volumes, a basic guiding principle of the project to which i've tried to be attentive.

apologies to the purists: maybe i have lost a track on my younger self. whatever that might mean. maybe i index poorly, and with each year the likelihood of repeating one of an annually-increasing number of songs from a fixed or slightly-fluctuating set of candidate songs rises incrementally. this is my mea culpa.
