I didn't write yesterday. Typical. I slept in. Got up.
Duke went to the bank to try to wire money home. We think it worked, but we're not sure. Then we went and bought peanut-butter and bread. We went out to a cafe where we got shitty coffee. After a while we came home and started watching Jackie Chan Police Story II. I think I've had enough movies for a while.
Duke left for work and I puttered around for a few hours: reading, playing guitar. Eventually I got myself clean and went to work. I had two classes.
It is getting harder to keep the students interested: the Mi-gook novelty has worn off and it is becoming just class.
After work I came home and got a note from Duke which said "they" were at Hope Soju bang with vague directions. I made a try for it, founding two places, neither of which was where the Mi-gooks were. I decided to go home, but on the way I ran into a woman from Olympiad who insisted on helping me find them. We went to four other places, also called Hope Soju, before finding the right one.
Then she split and I joined Tony and Duke. Just as they were leaving. We picked up some beer and went to Scott's place, where we drank our beers, listened to P.J. Harvey, and sat around comparing drug experiences. Then we split.
I tried to meditate, did some breathing and some stretching, and went to bed. Here I am with another day before me. I hope to write a letter to [redacted] and start one to [redacted]. Maybe I'll go buy ginseng (its my plan to send some real Korean ginseng to [redacted]).
Final note: last night Duke and I bet 1000won on the author of No Exit: He says Camus, I say Sartre. I'm right.
