sometimes, when one cares not to celebrate xmas one alienates those loved-ones (theists, atheists, agnostics and consumers alike) who do care to celebrate some holiday or other at that time and by that name.

so, one tries to find a way to participate in one's loved-ones' celebrations.
and one tries to remain more or less true to oneself.

thus began the xmas sux tradition, for ol' oomph, some years ago, with two topical songs he just.absolutely.had.to.share(!) and a list of people who had been naughty in just the right way that oomph might feel bad to omit them from his gesture, and a few who were so damn nice that they'd probably be offended by any act or failure to act, if not the simple fact of oomph's existence (also, it turned out, others who were so sincerely nice that whatever-might-give-offense would simply not be perceived -- a trick oomph could stand to learn). oomph made and distributed compact disks. remember those?

more recently, he has begun studying the art of the "podcast," a concatenation of abstractions with which you may be familiar, dear reader, and has elected to (attempt to) emit the archival xmas suxes in that fashion, as test items in the 'casting practice.

if this works out all right, oomph'll work on releasing vols. 2-5 (bringing us up to date), and maybe then the Pebkac sets, over the coming [insert vague future-temporal signifier here].
