charles stross

have you read any of the charles stross?

he has a very entertaining sort of supernatural spy series, about "the Laundry" a shady british intelligence organization that holds the many nameless horrors of the cosmos at bay while preparing to resist the return of the Elder Gods, that begins with a volume entitled The Atrocity Archive, (and follows with The Jennifer Morgue and The Fuller Memorandum . . . so far).

he also has written many interesting sci fi novels, among which Accelerando, Singularity Sky, Iron Sunrise, Halting State and Glasshouse are notable; did i already recommend those?

otherwise, i recently read the autobiographies and/or prison narratives of fela kuti, an influential nigerian musician, cody "monster" scott, an early and influential crip, and piri thomas, a mid-20thC puerto-rican harlem street criminal and eventual writer. not sure i'd precisely recommend any of them without some particular contextual need, except fela kuti: but don't read his autobiography; listen to his music!

recently reread philip k. dick trilogy, VALIS, The Divine Invasion, The Transmigration of Timothy Archer, and some related works.

else, not sure what i've been reading. apparently nothing of note.
