I finished
Oscar Wao. I think I really liked it, though I have lost sight of the first half which I read so long ago. I definitely liked the narrators knowledge and nonstop references to minute details of all fantasy/scifi in his hyperbolic explanations. I also liked Oscar by the end, and think that I withdraw a good deal of my comparison with the
Confederacy of Dunces, in which almost everyone is totally unlikable (except, I think, Jones, who simply doesn't get enough coverage).
